Ladies, About That Skirt...

Dear Speechers:

A speech tournament is not a fashion show or a nightclub. Please make sure your cleavage is covered and your skirt is long enough to cover everything that should be covered. I generally will not make a comment about it unless it impedes your movement, but someone else might. Is getting a look from that cute Humorous Interp guy really worth losing a few points?

Tip on Presenting Sources

Dear Speechers:

Instead of citing the first source you find on Google, see if you can find the original article. Fore example, it doesn't make sense to use the Houston Chronicle to talk about an event that happened in Bangor, Maine. I bet the Bangor Daily News has an article on the same event with more information. A little bit more digging really pays off!
